Competition Rules

Welcome to CAT NL.txt, the ultimate cybersecurity association tournament in the Netherlands! In order to ensure a fair and challenging competition, please read and follow the rules carefully:


Eligibility:

The competition is open to teams of undergraduate or graduate students from the universities of Twente, Delft, VU and Radboud in the Netherlands. Each team must have a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 members. All team members must be currently enrolled in the same university.


Format:

CAT NL.txt is an attack-defense competition, where teams are required to defend their own network while trying to exploit their opponents' networks. The competition will consist of several rounds, each with a different challenge.


Fair Play:

All teams are expected to compete in a fair and ethical manner. Cheating, hacking, or any other form of unethical behavior will result in immediate disqualification. Any attempts to disrupt the competition or other teams' networks will not be tolerated and will result in disqualification.


Equipment:

Teams must provide their own equipment including laptops, chargers, and any necessary software. Internet access will be provided.


Disclosure:

All teams agree to keep the details of the challenges and their solutions confidential. Sharing any information about the competition with anyone outside of the team is strictly prohibited.


Disqualification:

Any team that violates the rules of the competition or engages in any form of unethical behavior will be disqualified. The decision of the judges is final.


Liability:

All teams participate in the competition at their own risk. The organizers and sponsors of the competition are not responsible for any damage or loss of equipment or data.
